Visiting Djupavík late in the evening a few years back I spotted these birds sitting on the ruins of the old pier, the name Birds Playground stuck with me right there as only the birds have easy access to this spot on the fjord. Djupavik is an old Herring fishing town, the active period was from 1917 - 1954 at the time the Herring factory was built in 1932 it was one of the biggest concrete buildings in Europe. Djupavík has many photogenic locations.
